Refreshing to be with a Wonderful Team!

We have a new Team! I am so encouraged and refreshed to be associated with this group of ladies! They love the Lord and their families and have the same like mindedness. I wanted to share just a little bit from the minutes of our 1st meeting. So you can see what some of our goals are. We all called a conference number and had a nice time, sharing our testimonies and why we switched to the Melaleuca, company.

These questions my good friend, Christine, shared with us, and I think they are so good to think on. So I'm sharing them with you now!

Character Driven Goals: All of our goals are character driven because they reveal our priorities and unveil who we are to others:

   Is my character free from the love of money, success, respect? Am I in any position to help others if not?

   Am I content with whatever success God grants as long as I can stand with Him in good conscience?

   Am I willing to appear less successful to others in order to go through whatever character development He wants me to go through.

Chrissy shared: The Spiritual emphasis of our team

Our Balance:

• 
  spiritual – spending daily time with the Lord/praying over our family, lives, business;


• personal – how are our houses looking? Are our husbands content with the upkeep of the home?; Are we getting enough rest? Set your own amount of time you should be in bed;


• business – are we setting appropriate goals and being diligent to keep them? Remembering that our duty is to be diligent (the soul of the diligent shall be made rich – Prov.), and it is the Lord who bring the increase


• Checking ourselves and our “busyness” – how are we reacting to our children and husbands; what does God require of us? Micah 6:8 – to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God; First Peter – respect our husbands; Titus 2 - love our husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to our husbandsWhat practical goals can we set for ourselves in this regard?

Why did I start using Melaleuca products?

First, I wanted a safer and healthier alternative to keep my home and family healthy. My husband grew up having asthma...and our first son, was starting to show signs of having asthma…then came our second son, who as a very young baby developed a slight case of RSV…I knew we needed to do something about it…but didn’t really know what.

Who also homeschooled her children and was her husband’s helpmeet in the ministry. I wanted to be a “Proverb’s 31 woman,” but didn’t want a job or business to take me away from my family, no matter what financial gain it would have given. For what does Jesus say in Matthew 16:26: 26”For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?”[1] Or your husband & children??? (emphasis added)

So, a good friend of mine introduced us to Melaleuca. I had heard of it…and even used some of the products…because my Dad and his wife used them when I was younger. We were leery at first because of the “get-rich-quick” scheme’s we had seen before…but decided it would be best for our family, even if we did nothing to build it as a business. We have used the products now for, I believe around 7 years. I can’t believe it has been that long. Each month we just go online and purchase what we need and it is usually here by the next week.

When we moved to CA…we first lived in a house where the landlord was really hard to please. One day, one of my little ones got a hold of a permanent marker! Yikes! This house had beautiful hardwood floors, etc…THAT marker was EVERYWHERE! I didn’t know what I was going to do. I started looking at the bottle of Sol-U-Mel, it said that it could get permanent marker off. So, I went to work, put some on an old t-shirt…and what do you know…it took every black mark off everything my little bundle put it on. I had her help too!

Because I Really Do Care

Hey guys,

Everyone knows that our skin is the largest organ in our bodies. But did you know that our skin is like a sponge and absorbs anything it comes in contact with? I had never really thought about it before. Until now! Just think about the nicotine patches and the birth control patches. How do they get to where they need to go? Right! Through our skin.

If you have seen my blogs before, you know that I we have been using Melaleuca products for almost 7 years. But because of my ignorance, I have never really shared it with anyone partly because I was ignorant about how the business side works, and the other reason is because I wasn't informed on the difference in Melaleuca products and ones we get in the store.

I REALLY dislike shopping A LOT…and if there is an easier way to shop…I’m on it like a hound dog huntin’ Raccoon. I love shopping online, I wish I could do all my grocery shopping online, but I still have to do some of it in the store…maybe one day!

I feel terrible that I hadn’t shared this with you sooner.
